MTSU Education Day Basketball Game

Murphy Center was filled with excitement on Monday as thousands of Murfreesboro City Schools (MCS) students in grades four through six attended the annual MTSU MCS Education Day. The students brought incredible energy to the arena, cheering the Middle Tennessee Lady Raiders to a hard-fought win in a thrilling game.

This annual partnership event between Middle Tennessee State University and Murfreesboro City Schools is designed to give students a firsthand look at college life while celebrating community and school spirit.

“This event is a great opportunity for our students,” said Dr. Trey Duke, Director of Schools. “It’s all about exposing the students to an important part of the city and to college life. For many of them, it’s the first time to be on MTSU’s campus.”

From the roar of the crowd to the smiles on students’ faces, Education Day continues to be a highlight of the school year, blending sports, learning, and inspiration in one memorable experience.
