Welcome Letter
Dear Hobgood Families,
I am very humbled and honored to be the principal of Hobgood Elementary School and to be a part of this amazing school community. I can assure you that I share this school community’s dedication to caring for our students every day while providing them with a purposeful learning environment.
I love being the principal at Hobgood. I was born and raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In 2004, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Middle Tennessee State University. My first year was spent teaching fourth grade, and nine years were spent teaching third grade at Hobgood Elementary. While teaching, I earned a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from Middle Tennessee State University and an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University. After teaching in the classroom for several years, I served as an academic interventionist and an academic coach. In 2016, I was blessed to become the assistant principal at Hobgood and was named the principal in 2019. I have been in education for 17 years and continue to be devoted to exploring new ideas to meet the needs of all students.
Every child is full of brilliance and potential. I believe all children are unique and must have an engaging learning environment where they can grow mentally, emotionally, and socially. I am confident that caring teachers, intentional planning, quality instruction, and a supportive community will bring success and achievement.
My excitement to unite my openness to learn, student-centered decision-making, and dedicated staff will continue to lead us to success. I firmly believe that every child can succeed and that the relationship between home and school is vital to students' success.
Please feel free to contact me. I sincerely welcome your conversations and input.
Best regards,
Quinena Bell
